The High Temperature Ceramics shop CHECUAN has been working for four years now. We are located at La Purisima in the municipality of Tarandacuao (tarandacuao.com) in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico.
We've got a unique style called "Calado". Calado is characterized by being two layers, the exterior layer, where the name comes from, is hand carved with various designs and the interior layer is solid permiting these unique pieces to keep their usability.
All the pieces are hand carved garanteeing that no two pieces will be alike.
We have won various awards and prices in the state of Guanajuato.
The municipality of Tarandacuao (tarandacuao.com) borders with: Jerecuaro (jerecuaro.com) to the North; Maravatio, Michoacan. to the south; to the east with the same municipality of Maravatio, Mich.; and to the west with the municipality of Acambaro (akambaro.com). It's also worth mentioning that it borders to the north with El Rio Lerma (Lerma River) or the Big River as it once was known, the Lerma River sets the limits between the municipalities of Tarandacuao and Jerecuaro.
Tarandacuao is 123,845 km 2; the municipality's surface is 0.4% of the total surface of the state of Guanajuato and takes 43rd place as far as territorial jurisdiccion.
